This privacy notice for Trial and Error, Inc (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you:
- Download and use our mobile application (Video AI), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy notice
- Visit our website at video.voxapp.ai, or any website of ours that links to this privacy notice
- Engage with us in other related ways, including support, sales, marketing, or events
Questions or concerns? Reading this privacy notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, contact us at support@voxapp.ai.
1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In short: we collect the information you give us, and the content you ask us to work with.
- Email address and name: when you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google. You can also use the app in an anonymous session, which carries no email or name until you choose to sign in.
- Prompts you write: the text you enter describing the video you want.
- Photos you upload: images you submit as the starting point for a video.
- Videos we generate for you: the output produced from your prompts and photos.
- Support correspondence: anything you send us by email, including what you choose to attach.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
In short: some technical information is collected automatically when you use the Services.
- Device and usage data: device model, operating system version, app version, language and region, and the screens and actions you take in the app. We use this to understand how the app is used and to fix what is broken.
- Diagnostics: error reports, crash reports, and technical logs, including the state the app was in when something failed.
- Purchase state: whether you hold an active subscription or entitlement, and the store transaction identifiers needed to validate it. We never receive your card number; payment is handled entirely by Apple.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when a video is ready.
- Install and referral data: how you arrived at the app, so we can attribute installs to the link or campaign that brought you.
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or your photo library beyond the specific images you choose to upload.
2. How do we process your information?
In short: to provide and improve the Services, to communicate with you, and to comply with the law.
- To generate your videos. Your prompts and uploaded photos are sent to the AI models that produce your video. This is the core function of the app.
- To create and manage your account and keep your state (such as whether you have finished onboarding) across reinstalls and devices.
- To deliver purchases and confirm what your subscription entitles you to.
- To notify you when generation finishes, and to send service messages you have not opted out of.
- To fix and improve the app by diagnosing crashes and errors and by understanding which features are used.
- To protect the Services against abuse, fraud, and misuse, and to enforce our Terms of Use.
- To comply with legal obligations and to respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. When and with whom do we share your personal information?
In short: only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed.
We share information with third-party vendors and service providers that perform services for us and require access to that information to do so. Today these include:
| Provider | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase) | Authentication, push delivery, native crash reporting |
| Cloudflare | Backend hosting, storage, and this website |
| AI model providers | Generating video from your prompts and photos |
| RevenueCat | Subscription and entitlement management |
| PostHog | Product analytics, error tracking, and logs |
| Branch | Install attribution and deep links |
| Apple | Payment processing and App Store distribution |
We may also disclose information where required to do so by law, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
In short: the app does not use advertising trackers; the website uses no cookies of its own.
The mobile app uses local device storage to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. This website is a set of static pages and sets no cookies of its own. Analytics in the app is first-party and used to improve the product, not to build an advertising profile of you.
5. How long do we keep your information?
In short: as long as your account exists, unless the law requires longer.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Prompts, uploaded photos, and generated videos are retained so that you can access your library, and are deleted when you delete your account. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained on a rolling basis. Where we are required to keep records, for example for tax or accounting purposes, we keep the minimum necessary for the required period.
6. How do we keep your information safe?
In short: we take reasonable measures, but no system is perfectly secure.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process, including authenticated access to every backend route, encryption in transit, and access limited to the people who need it. However, no electronic transmission or storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized parties will never defeat our safeguards.
7. Do we collect information from minors?
In short: no. The Services are not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or market to children under 13 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 13 years old, or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to their use of the Services. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 13, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to delete that data promptly. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from a child under 13, please contact us at support@voxapp.ai.
8. What are your privacy rights?
In short: you may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or certain US states such as California), you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to object to or restrict processing; and to data portability. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@voxapp.ai. We will act on any request in accordance with applicable law.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. See Delete your account for the exact steps. If you signed in with Apple or Google, you can also revoke Video AI’s access from that provider’s account settings.
You can withdraw consent for push notifications at any time in your device’s notification settings, without affecting the rest of the Services.
9. Controls for do-not-track features
Most browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) signal. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted, we will update this notice accordingly.
10. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?
In short: yes. Depending on your state, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information.
If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@voxapp.ai.
11. Do we make updates to this notice?
In short: yes. We will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this page and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we will notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by sending you a direct notification.
12. How can you contact us about this notice?
If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may email us at support@voxapp.ai or write to:
